New Zealand born guard Corey Webster has signed with Ironi Nahariya in Israel according to David Pick.
Webster recently completed a stint with the Dallas Mavericks in Las Vegas for the annual NBA Summer League tournament. The former Breakers standout helped the Mavericks get all the way through to the semi-finals, but they ultimately bowed out to the Los Angeles Lakers – the eventual winners of the tournament.
The 28-year-old signed with the Perth Wildcats in March after being released by the Breakers, but left before playing a single game for the Australian club in the hopes of landing on an NBA roster.
The terms of Webster’s contract are unknown at this point, but it’s likely that it is a short-term contract that will allow him to give the NBA another crack next July.
