The Wellington Saints have signed Majok Majok and Shane Temara for the 2018 NBL season.
Majok comes over from Melbourne United fresh off of an ANBL Championship. He compiled averages of 3.5 points and 2.9 rebounds with Melbourne last season, and should have a pivotal role with the Saints during 2018.
Majok has also spent time at Ball State University in Indiana, as well as Slovenia and with the Dallas Mavericks Summer League team in 2017.
Temara has recently returned to New Zealand after spending two years at North Texas University. He recorded averages of 7.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in his final season with the school, shooting 46.3 percent from the field and 33.3 percent from three.
The Saints have high expectations to live up to this season after going undefeated in 2017, en route to their second straight NBL championship. New frontcourt additions Majok and Temara should lend a helping hand to their aspirations.
The Saints’ season will tip-off on April 27 against the Southland Sharks, a grand final rematch from 2017.
