Kiwi centre Callum McRae has committed to the University of California Riverside, he announced via Twitter on Wednesday.

The 7-foot-1 big man is a product of Palmerston North Boys’ High School, and has spent time with the Manawatu Jets on the NBL.

McRae also represented New Zealand at the FIBA Under 19 World Cup last year in Egypt.

McRae will play for the Jets again this season, before heading over to the States later this year.
