Former Rosmini College standout William Heather has officially committed to Dallas Baptist University.
Dallas Baptist University (DBU) is a Division II school based in Dallas, Texas, and they won the Heartland Conference Championship last season with a 26-6 record.
Heather spoke with three Division I schools over the past few months, including Utah State University, according to a source. Utah State, however, ultimately decided to go in a different direction.
The University of Portland, and University of North Dakota also expressed their interest in Heather over the past year, per source.
The 6-foot-9 big man led Rosmini College to a National Championship in 2017, the school’s first since 2011.
Heather was sidelined for 4-to-6 weeks with an ankle injury during the 2017 season, but came back in time to play a big hand in the team’s championship run.
Heather is currently with the Wellington Saints as a developmental player, and is scheduled to head over to Dallas later this year.
