The Manawatu Jets have signed forward Kuran Iverson for the 2018 NBL season, according to NZ Hoops on Twitter.
Iverson, the cousin of former NBA All-Star Allen Iverson, played his college ball at Rhode Island, averaging 9.6 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 26.0 minutes per game.
The 6-foot-9 American spent last season with the Memphis Hustle of the NBA G-League, posting averages of 3.3 points and 2.1 rebounds in 11.3 minutes per game.
Iverson is the Jets’ first import signing of the season, with NBL teams allowed to sign up to three.
The Jets will open the season at home against the Taranaki Mountainairs on April 29.
