The Manawatu Jets have signed point guard Daishon Knight, according to NZ Hoops on Twitter.
Knight played his college ball at Illinois State and had a productive senior season, averaging 14.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 29.9 minutes per game (35 games) on 44.0 per cent shooting from the field and 36.6 per cent from three.
He’s spent time in Turkey, Lithuania and Kosovo since going undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft.
The Jets also added G/F Brandon Lucas as their final import. Lucas averaged 9.4 points on 44.3 per cent shooting in two years at East Central University.
Knight and Lucas join forward Kuran Iverson as the team’s three imports for the 2018 season.
The Jets’ first game of the season is against the Taranaki Mountainairs on April 29 in Palmerston North.
