Former New Zealand Breakers F/C Rob Loe has officially signed a two-year deal with the Cairns Taipans.
The 26-year-old Loe spent two seasons with the Breakers and was a fairly productive piece during his short stint with the New Zealand based club.
In his final season with the Breakers, Loe averaged 7.3 points and 4.3 rebounds on 47 per cent shooting from the field.
The Breakers, with new ownership in place, are looking to shake things up as far as their roster is concerned.
They have already signed free agent guard Jarrad Weeks to a two-year deal, and have also been linked to forward Tai Wesley.
The Breakers, according to Stuff.co.nz, are also “poised” to part ways with centre Alex Pledger prior to the 2018-19 ANBL season, further hinting towards a roster shake up.
Loe was a valuable player for the Breakers over the past two seasons, but the new look front office and coaching staff are set on bringing in new personnel to further freshen up the club.
