The Bay Hawks have reportedly signed veteran forward Oscar Forman for the 2018 NBL season.
The 36-year-old Forman last played in the NZ NBL 10 years ago, but makes his return and will be available to play in the Hawks’ first game tonight at 7pm.
Forman played for the Harbour Heat during his last stint in the league, and has also played for the New Zealand Breakers, Adelaide 36ers and most recently, the Illawarra Hawks of the ANBL.
Forman, however, has now officially retired from the ANBL.
The Hawks had originally signed fellow Australian forward David Barlow, but he had to withdraw due to personal reasons.
Forman’s veteran leadership and overall skillset should provide a solid boost to the Hawks’ lineup this season.
