The Southland Sharks have signed Canadian big man Conor Morgan as their third import for the 2018 Sal’s NBL on Thursday.

Morgan recently competed at the Commonwealth Games, winning a silver medal with Canada. Morgan’s Canadian team ousted the Tall Blacks from the competition in the semi finals.

Morgan recently graduated from the University of British Columbia, and he now begins his professional basketball career in New Zealand.

The Sharks will tip-off their 2018 season against the Bay Hawks at 7pm tonight. Over 50 games will be live-streamed this season via www.nznbl.basketball.
