The Canterbury Rams have signed Kiwi centre Mike Karena for the remainder of the 2018 Sal’s NBL season.

The Christchurch born Karena returns to play for his hometown team.

Karena has spent time with the Tall Blacks and was with the Rams last season.

Head coach Mark Dickel will welcome some rotational help, as he’s been playing his three imports – Winston Shepard, Xavier Thames and Julian Washburn – heavy minutes so far this season.

The 2-1 Rams will be in action on Saturday against the Nelson Giants.
