The Wellington Saints edged the Bay Hawks at home on Sunday, winning 80-77.
Shea Ili continued his MVP-caliber season with 27 points, four rebounds, four assists and two steals in 35 minutes, shooting 9-of-17 from the field and 4-of-7 from three.
L.J. Peak scored 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting for the Saints, while Majok Majok was fantastic with 13 points, 15 rebounds, two steals and three blocks in 39 minutes.
Angus Brandt had a big game for the Hawks before fouling out late, posting 19 points, 13 rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block on 7-of-13 shooting.
Jarrod Kenney had 14 points, five rebounds and three assists on 7-of-14 shooting, Ethan Rusbatch scored 18 points with three 3-pointers (3-of-5) and Everard Bartlett added 11 points.
The Saints are now 5-1 following today’s victory, while the Hawks have cooled off and now sit at 4-3.
