Rosmini College standout Kruz Perrott-Hunt has been invited to attend Tall Blacks camp from June 17-21.
The camp will take place in Wellington and is preparation for the Tall Blacks, who are getting ready to face Hong Kong and China in FIBA World Cup qualifiers in a few weeks.
Of the 20 players that will be attending the camp, head coach Paul Henare will name a 12-man squad to play in the aforementioned games.
It’s unlikely Perrott-Hunt makes the 12-man team, but the invite is an incredible opportunity to practice with some of the country’s most talented players and it will certainly put his name in the fold for future events.
He’s represented New Zealand at various age group levels, so it was only a matter of time before he got an opportunity like this. KPH is the only current high school player to receive an invite.
Perrott-Hunt has helped Rosmini College to an undefeated record so far in the Secondary Schools competition, and he also played a big hand in Rosmini winning the National Championship last year.
The 17-year-old is one of the top young players in the country and will be someone to keep an eye on moving forward.
