The New Zealand Breakers have signed guard Patrick Richard as the team’s second import.
Richard, who signed a one-year deal with the Breakers, has also spent time in the NBA G-League, as well as multiple stops in Europe, Australia and Israel.
The 28-year-old was most recently in Spain and posted averages of 11.1 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.2 steals in 23.1 minutes per game (33 games). He shot 43.3 per cent from the field and 36.0 per cent from three.
The American-born Richard isn’t a household name, but he’ll fit perfectly into the Breakers’ plans next season.
The Breakers, per the NZ Herald, are targeting a starting centre with their final import spot.
