Kiwi guard Tai Webster will play for the Miami Heat in Summer League action this July.
Webster will take part in the California Classic in Sacramento and the annual Las Vegas Summer League tournament.
He decided to bypass the Tall Blacks’ qualifying games against Hong Kong and China to pursue NBA opportunities, and he’ll get a chance to prove himself with the Heat.
Last year, Webster played in Summer League for the Charlotte Hornets and Golden State Warriors.
The 23-year-old is coming off a successful season in Germany, posting averages of 14.9 points, 3.9 assists and 3.1 rebounds on 52 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from three.
Webster will be the lone Kiwi playing in Summer League this July.
